The much awaited H1N1 vaccine has just arrived. Not sure if all clinics have it but I got it at the Ipoh Clinic accross the LDP in Damansara Utama. Not cheap at RM 60 though and you have to make an appointment because I think the supply is limited at the moment.
On 21/06/09 Sunday evening I was asked by a very concerned State Assemblyman (D.Utama)Y.B.Dr Cheah, if it was`true that there was a case of H1N1 in the Secondary School at DU (SS 20)My immediate calls to very reliable school sources revealed that it was indeed true. I called Datin Paduka Chew Mei Fun to assertain this from the Ministry of Health and Min.of Education and to take appropriate action like closing the school if need be, as is supported by the residents (after sms survey). Speed and time is the essence in matters like this so as to contain any spread. At 12.49.39am she forwarded to me reply from Datuk Liow Tiong Lai (Health)"Thks yb, will check immediately n come back to u,thks again f liow" The following morning his officials were at the school. Sms reply from Dr Wee Ka Siong (Edu)at 12.50.15am was " Noted already take action" Next day the affected class was closed. Syabas to our politicians from both sides of the political divide for working with RT SS 20 and concern for the community
